Established in 2009

So I've decided it's about time we jump on the blogging bandwagon. We'll see how it goes!

Jeremy and I met the June of 2008 through some wonderful friends Megan and Liz! So grateful for them! Jer and I were instantly best friends. It was so natural like we had been friends forever. He wanted to date right away but of course I had to make him work for it :)
We lost touch a little bit during that fall semester until we carpooled to Salt Lake for Christmas. We  had a wonderful ride and we could both feel how much we missed each other. We needed each other.
We gradually started dating and since we had already been best friends, the transition was so smooth. We were so comfortable with each other and it was right.
That spring semester was really crazy with Jeremy running his campaign for USU Athletics VP. It was stressful but we did the campaign together. We got engaged on April 16, 2009 in the middle of the spectrum!
Jeremy and I had always joked about breaking into the spectrum in the evening but I never thought it would be a reality. Then one night he said "Let's go!"
I was very hesitant when we got there. I didn't want to get in trouble for sneaking in. There was even a woman I could see from the window (the cheer coach Linda Zimmerman whom I didn't know at the time but Jer did) After a while of trying to convince me, Jeremy took my hand and said firmly, "I'm making an executive decision and we're going now!"
Ah! I was nervous but when we passed Linda she just smiled and said hello. What a relief!
When we got to the spectrum floor, we started shooting the basketball around. Jeremy looked at me and said "What will you give me if I make a half court shot?"
I was like, "hmmm...what do you want?"
"How about a kiss?" (My husband is a cheeseball but I love him for it)
He threw the ball up from half court. SWISH!! IT WAS A PERFECT SHOT!!
Before I had any time to react, the lights went out and our song, Last First Kiss by Anberlin came on the speakers. My amazing man was on one knee with the gorgeous ring I was convinced we couldn't get until the next week. With tears in his eyes, he proposed and made me the happiest girl in the world.
We got married on June 20th, 2009 in the Salt Lake Temple. We were married in the same room my mom and dad were married in years ago. It was such a special day.

We have had a fun year together and I am so grateful for him every single day. I have the most wonderful husband in the world!
